Smooth Travel during UAE's Eid Al Adha: Optimize Your Airport Experience with Online Check-In

Ahead of the Eid Al Adha and summer holidays, airlines and airport authorities are issuing advisories regarding the anticipated travel rush. Passengers are being informed about the possibility of longer queues and potential delays, particularly at baggage and check-in counters.

To facilitate smoother travel experiences during these peak periods, airlines are providing smart solutions, with online check-in being the most popular option. They are encouraging passengers to take advantage of this convenient service, allowing them to complete the check-in process online as early as two days prior to their flight.

Here is a breakdown of the online check-in process for each airline:

Emirates Airlines (48 hours in advance):
Emirates passengers can check in online up to 48 hours before the scheduled departure time. This option closes 90 minutes before departure for all e-ticket holders. Passengers can download a mobile boarding pass to their phones, Emirates App, or Wallet app, which can be presented at various points in the airport.

Flydubai (48 hours in advance):
Budget carrier Flydubai also offers online check-in 48 hours before the flight and up to 75 minutes before departure. However, at certain airports, passengers may still need to visit check-in counters for document verification and boarding pass issuance.

Air Arabia (36 hours in advance):
Air Arabia passengers can conveniently check-in online from their homes or offices starting 36 hours before their flights. They simply need to fill out a form with their reservation number, name, and flight date.

Etihad Airways (30 hours in advance):
Etihad Airways allows online check-in 30 hours prior to departure. Passengers can enter their booking reference number (PNR), a six-character code beginning with a capital letter. This express service also offers seat selection, potential upgrades, and the ability to make itinerary changes without visiting the airline's service desk.

These online check-in options aim to enhance the travel experience and streamline the process for passengers, minimizing the need for extensive time spent at the airport.
