24th March, Mumbai: Randeep Hooda's directorial venture, the biographical drama "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar," has witnessed a significant leap in box office collections on its second day of release. Garnering positive reviews and benefiting from strong word-of-mouth, the film has shown remarkable growth, with a jump of over 100% in its box office earnings.

According to early estimates reported by industry tracker Sacnilk, "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar" amassed Rs 2.25 crores on Saturday, marking a substantial increase from its opening day collection of Rs 1.50 crores. With this surge, the film has amassed a total of Rs 3.30 crores in just two days.

Unlike its contemporaries, the makers of "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar" opted not to employ BOGO (Buy One Get One) offers to boost ticket sales. However, the film is anticipated to witness further growth on Sunday, with expectations of earning between Rs 4-5 crores. Nevertheless, sustaining this momentum throughout the weekdays will be crucial for the film to achieve a respectable first-week collection.

Reflecting on the challenges faced by his films at the box office, Randeep Hooda emphasized the pivotal role of marketing in determining a film's success during an exclusive interaction with Nera News. Hooda stated, "Film-making and ensuring quality in cinema is an art. However, a film's success largely hinges on its marketing efforts. Perhaps, some of my films lacked adequate marketing efforts. I also fell short in this aspect. Initially, I believed that my role as an artist ended with the completion of the film. However, reality taught me otherwise."

Hooda further noted that several of his films faced setbacks due to lack of support, even from producers. He emphasized the importance of relentless marketing efforts and substantial investment in promoting a film for it to achieve commercial success.

"In the case of 'Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,' I am not only the director but also the producer. Hence, it is my responsibility to ensure the film receives widespread exposure across all platforms," Hooda affirmed.

As "Swatantrya Veer Savarkar" continues its theatrical run, all eyes are on its performance in the coming days, with audiences and industry experts eager to see if the film can maintain its upward trajectory at the box office.
