Kannada actress Pavithra Gowda finds herself in the news once again for controversial reasons, as actor Darshan has been arrested in connection with the murder of Renuka Swamy. According to media reports, Darshan and nine others have been detained by Kamakshi Palya police. Swamy's body was discovered in a drainage near an apartment complex on Saturday.
Reports indicate that the deceased had sent obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda via social media and had allegedly been pressuring her to marry him.
Pavithra Gowda had previously made headlines in January for sharing photos with Darshan, hinting at a decade-long relationship. This isn't the first time Pavithra's social media activity has caused a stir. In 2017, she faced backlash after posting a profile photo with Darshan on Twitter and Facebook, which she later removed. In November 2024, she shared a video from her daughter Khushi's birthday party on Instagram, featuring Darshan cutting the cake and dancing.
